Using the COMMs Integration

Solibri Cloud (CheckPoint) COMMs integration is available for all Solibri Desktop products.

Solibri Desktop and Cloud services work together to support a continuous BIM quality and coordination workflow. This guide explains how models, checking results, and issues synchronize seamlessly between Solibri Desktop, Solibri Comms, and Solibri Cloud Platform (CheckPoint).

You can manage and synchronize project issues across Solibri Desktop and the Solibri Cloud Platform (CheckPoint) using the COMMs workspace.

Managing Issues with Solibri COMMs

After running checks in Solibri Desktop, you can publish selected issues to Solibri COMMs for collaborative, cloud-based issue management.

To connect to your project’s Comms workspace:

  1. Open Solibri Desktop and go to the BCF Live Connector layout.

  2. Initiate the BCF-Live connection.

  3. In the separate tab, select Solibri CheckPoint.

  4. Select and navigate to the correct project workspace to begin the sync.

You can add your local issues, viewpoints, and comments directly to the Comms ennvironment by importing them to the BCF Live session.

In Solibri Cloud Platform (CheckPoint), project stakeholders can review, comment, and update issues through the COMMs interface, which acts as an Issue Management Server. You can also create issues directly in Comms within the cloud platform.

Any changes or comments made in COMMs are automatically synchronized back to Solibri Desktop, and vice versa, keeping both environments aligned and up-to-date.

Continuing Collaboration and Validation

When issues are resolved and IFC models are updated, continue validation work directly in Solibri Desktop.

  • Update the project files from the Solibri Cloud Platform (CheckPoint) to reflect the latest IFC versions.

  • Automate file updates using Model Update Settings in Desktop.

  • Run rule-based checks again to verify changes and close resolved issues.

Repeat these steps as needed to maintain consistent model quality and coordination throughout your project.
