In a large project, there may be a high number of issues, which can be overwhelming. In order to organise these and help prioritise the important or urgent ones, you can use three different filtering methods in the Results view: Filter with Sections, Filter with Selection Basket (All) and Filter with Selection Basket (Some). You can access these options in the Results view toolbar:
To filter the results using section planes:
-
Add one or more section planes using the Sectioning tool or the context menu in the 3D view.
-
Select Filter with Sections.
-
The results list is updated. You see only the results that have components located inside the section(s).
Tip
Model views that indicate phasing or key locations can be set up in a presentation. These can then be consistently activated and used in the filtering process.
To filter with all components in the Selection Basket:
-
Place the components into the Selection Basket.
-
Select Filtering with Selection Basket (All).
-
You see only the results that have components related to the content of the Selection Basket. All the components related to the issue must also be related to the content of the Selection Basket.
Tip
If you change the content of the Selection Basket, click Filter with Selection Basket (All) again to update the results list.
To filter with at least one of the components in the Selection Basket:
-
Place the components into the Selection Basket.
-
Select Filtering with Selection Basket (Some).
-
You see only the results that have components related to the content of the Selection Basket. At least one of the components related to the issue must also be related to the content of the Selection Basket.
