In Units Settings, you can define the measurement units and set their level of accuracy (number of decimals). You can also define the date and time formats. You can choose to use either the International System of Units (SI) or the imperial system.
To access the settings, click File > Settings > Units.
Important
The precision of the units will effect the values in rules.
Restore Default Settings
To restore the settings in this dialog to default values, click the Restore Default Settings dialog and confirm your action. This action affects the settings in the dialog. Note that this action can't be undone.
Tip
Unit definitions are stored locally on each machine, and the settings are not transferred or stored in SMC project files. We recommend that companies coordinate their unit settings in order to standardize output from presentations and reports.
Note
The units set by the user are then the default units for that user. Therefore, typing a value without a unit will automatically enter the user's chosen unit. Adding a unit to the end of a value will then force that unit into the field but then automatically convert the value to the chosen unit.
