This article describes the Info view and the Advanced Info view in Solibri. The Info view shows the component data that has been exported to the IFC model. The level of details depends on the selected component and the IFC export level set in the authoring tool. When you select individual components, you can inspect their geometric and data properties in the Info view:

Tip
You can control the settings for the Info view in Info settings.
In v9.13.3 and newer, you have the option to use the Advanced Info view, which is set as default. This advanced view offers a more concise and user-friendly structuring of the data in the Info view:
The Info view structure has six main tabs: BIM Data, IFC Header, IFC Standard Properties, IFC Standard Quantities, Other Properties, and Custom. Each tab has additional tabs under it:
-
BIM Data: includes:
-
Identification tab: Attributes (model and component), IfcEntities, Solibri Data
-
Location tab: Location of Container(s)/component(s)
-
Quantities tab: Quantities of container(s)/component(s)
-
Profile tab: profile information (for components that have it)
-
Material tab: material information (for components that have it)
-
-
IFC Header: contains the description, name and schema of the IFC File
-
IFC Standard Properties: standardized Property sets by BuildingSMART
-
IFC Standard Quantities: standardized Quantity sets by BuildingSMART
-
Other Properties: All non-standard property sets, such as property sets the user has defined or property sets from the CAD System
-
Custom: API properties and hyperlinks
-
Fields within the tabs can be highlighted and the data copied (Ctrl + C / Cmd + C) to the clipboard for use in other applications.
Tip
You can toggle the Advanced Info view on and off in the Info Settings (In v9.13.3 in General Settings).
In the Info view, you can see the IFC class of the component above the tabs (see the image below). The number after the component (e.g. Wall 1.9.6) shows:
-
Running order of the floor level
-
Running order of the listed component in that level
-
The version of the component
In addition, you have the option to show IFC Data Type information in the IFC Value Type column of the Info view (v9.13.4 and newer). The IFC Value Type column displays the type of data being used (INT, CHAR, BOOLEAN, DATE, etc.), so you can easily identify the type of data being used and ensure that it is correct:
Tip
When component highlighting is ON, the component you select is highlighted in green. To turn the highlighting OFF, click . Only one component can be highlighted, but once you have highlighted a second component, you can scroll through the previous/next components you have examined using the arrows in the top right corner of the view.
Tip
You can save custom selections of properties on a Favorites tab. For more information, see Favorites Tab in Info View.
Note
In MacOS, all the tabs are of the same color. Only one row of tabs is visible but there is an arrow you can click allowing you to scroll sideways through the list. Alternatively, if you click and hold on the arrow, a popup will appear allowing you to jump directly to the tab you require.
You can quickly create new filters, ITOs and classifications from the context menu in the Info view (v9.13.6 and newer). When you right click an item in the Info view, you have the following options:
-
Create New Classification (Component, Property)
-
Create New Information Takeoff (Component, Property, Value)
-
Add to Filtering (Component, Property, Value)
Tip
You can also use the drag and drop feature for creating new classifications, ITOs and filters. For more information, see the article on dragging and dropping.
