This rule checks the area of spaces in each building floor. The user can define the maximum and minimum allowed area for each building floor. The rule reports the space areas for each building floor.
This rule catches e.g. cases where the area of building floors exceeds the maximum limit that is allowed for the building in the building permit. It also helps to notice cases where spaces have been forgotten, e.g. the user has forgotten to cut & paste some spaces from one building storey to another.

Space Area Limits:
The table contains names and minimum and maximum areas for each building floor. When you have a model opened, you can select a building floor from a separate dialog opened from the right side of the table cell.
You can also read values to this table from Excel.
Analysing the results:
The rule has four different types categories:
-
The area of a building floor falls below the given minimum area
-
The area of a building floor exceeds the given maximum area
-
There are no limit values set for the building floor
-
The limit table includes a building floor, which is not found in the model
An issue is created for every building floor, of which space area is not in given limits. Total space area is sum of areas of all spaces (not space groups) in the building floor.
