This rule checks that all spaces in the model are included in some fire compartment.
The rule parameters are:
Space Classification:
Classification used for classifying spaces. Classification names are set in the Classification Name column of the Ignored Spaces table.
Ignored Spaces Table:
This table lists all spaces, which are ignored in checking (= they don't have to be included in fire compartments). The first four columns identified a space, you can use one or more columns in identification.
-
Space Usage Type Classification: The space usage type classification. Classification can be edited in the Classification View. You can select a classification from a separate dialog opened from the right side of the table cell.
-
Space Type: The space type. Depending on the source this is not always available. You can use Space Name instead. An empty value matches any space. When you have a model opened, you can select a type from a separate dialog opened from the right side of the table cell.
-
Space Name: The space name can either be unique or more generic, like Office. Again, depending on the source, this value may or may not be present in the model. An empty value matches any space. When you have a model opened, you can select a name from a separate dialog opened from the right side of the table cell.
-
Space Number: A value that defines one space uniquely. An empty value matches any spaceship for which you have a model opened, you can select a number from a separate dialog opened from the right side of the table cell.
You can also read values to this table from Excel.
Analysing the results:
-
If the model doesn't have any fire compartment, an issue is created, and the model is attached to it.
-
If a model has fire compartments, but some building floor doesn't have, an issue is created for each building floor without a fire compartment.
-
Each space which is not totally inside a fire compartment (when the floor has them) creates an issue. Spaces with the same type or name are attached to the same issue. If Ignored Spaces table has names, spaces are organized to the issues by their names. In other case the type is used as a key.
