This rule checks wall geometry and dimensioning. The rule has dimensioning requirements for distances of windows, doors, openings, and wall edges. There can be also limitations to accepted wall geometry type. The direction of extrusion geometry can be limited.
The rule parameters are:
Components to Check:
The previous parameters such as Discipline, Classification and Classification Names table are replaced by a Filter Parameter table. The Filter Parameter table allows more precise selection of components such as walls having area equal to 3.00 m2 and yields very accurate and specific results. The previous parameters are converted to the filter parameter which includes the selected discipline and selected classification and the value from the classification Names, as shown in the above screenshot.
Dimensioning Requirements of Walls:
This table contains requirements for wall dimensioning. Each row describes a requirement, which has four parts start, end, direction and distance.
-
Start (window, door, empty opening)
-
End (window, door, empty opening, wall top edge, wall bottom edge, wall side edge)
-
Direction (horizontal, vertical, free dimension)
-
Distance (minimum distance, maximum distance, fixed distance, maximum overlap, tolerance)
Note: Add multiple rows if you need multiple fixed distances.
Analysing the results:
The rule creates an issue of all columns and beam profiles that haven’t had a parametric profile or the profile is not listed in the tables.
Rule report:
The rule does not have a report.
