This article explains how the Markup tool works. With the Markup too, you can add for example arrows, texts, shapes, as well as component and coordinate stamps, to your components or model to communicate your thoughts with your project team. Markups are saved in issue snapshots and can be seen in communication.
The article covers the following topics:
To add a markup, select the Markup tool from the main toolbar:
The Markup toolbar opens, and you can choose from the following options:
Once you have drawn a graphical markup, you can move it by dragging and dropping it. You can resize it by grabbing on the green frame with grips and stretching. Note that you can't edit text boxes, stamps and pictures.
Note
Markups and dimensions are only saved in the issue snapshots, not in the model. They are always set along on the surface of a component. They can be resized or moved after you have drawn them, but they maintain the same direction if you move them. You can change the colour and line thickness of markups and dimension markings.
