If you get lost or want to move quickly to a specific location, double click a spot in the Navigation Map.
Tip
We recommend using a standard three-button wheel mouse, as the wheel can be used for Pan and Zoom functions.
In the Pan mode, you can move the building on the screen or zoom into the building. To move the building, hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse. The keyboard shortcut for Pan mode is 1.
Tip
If you have a wheel mouse, you can leave the navigation mode in Spin and then utilize Pan by pressing and dragging the middle mouse button. To zoom in and out, scroll the mouse wheel.
You can Spin the building around any point, including the center point of the model. You can spin the model into any direction. However, you can't spin the building upside down. The keyboard shortcut for Spin mode is 2.
If you have Spin as the default setting, left-click the mouse click drag to spin.
Tip
You can control the center around which the spin occurs by placing the cursor over a component before carrying out the command. If the point is left in space, the model will spin around the previous point.
In the Walk mode, you can walk inside the building by holding the left mouse button down. Move the mouse to move forward/backward or to turn to the left/right. You can also use keyboard arrow keys. The name of the space you are in is shown in the lower right corner the status bar.
Movement is defined from the center of the screen where there is a neutral spot. Movement in any of the directions holding the left mouse button down will indicate the movement with an arrow on screen based on the current position of the cursor. To move quicker, simply move the cursor further from the centre of the screen.
When collision detection is ON, you can walk through doors (a door appears transparent when you are near to it) and climb stairs. When it's OFF, you can walk through walls, but you cannot climb stairs.
To set collision detection on or off, press C on your keyboard. The left-hand corner of the status bar shows whether collision detection is on or off.
The keyboard shortcut for Walk mode is 3.
In the Game mode, you can walk inside the building similarly to the Walk mode. In the Game mode the mouse cursor is hidden. Game mode is controlled by using the keyboard movement commands along with the your eye position, which is controlled directory with the mouse. This is akin to a first person viewpoint.
