Note
AI Chatbot (Beta) is available from Solibri 26.6. The feature is available in Solibri Premium and Enterprise.
Note
This is a beta feature. Make sure you have a recent backup of your project before allowing the use of tools. The AI chatbot is continuously improving and you may encounter occasional bugs. We appreciate your feedback as we refine this functionality!
What is the AI Chatbot?
The AI Chatbot (BETA) is an intelligent assistant that understands natural language questions and performs tasks directly in your Solibri session. Simply ask questions like "Find and select all external doors" or "Create a classification for walls," and the chatbot executes these actions automatically in your current model.
The chatbot uses 37 built-in tools that integrate seamlessly with Solibri, allowing it to understand your requests in plain English, execute actions on your model in real-time, provide visual feedback, and handle multi-step operations.

Understanding Tool Permissions
When you ask your first question, a dialog appears asking you to approve tool permissions.
Recommended action:
Check "Allow all tools for this chat" to avoid repeated permission requests for subsequent questions in the conversation.
If your request requires multiple tools:
-
The first tool may show a permission prompt
-
After checking "Allow all tools for this chat," subsequent tools execute without interruption
-
The chatbot provides status updates as it progresses
Real-World Examples
Example 1: Find and Analyze Doors
You ask: "Find and select all external doors"
The chatbot searches your model, highlights selected doors in the 3D view, and lists distances between doors.
You then ask: "Paint the closest pair red"
The chatbot identifies the closest pair and colors both doors red in the 3D viewport.
Example 2: Create Classifications
You ask: "Create a classification for external and non-external doors"
A new classification is created and all doors are categorized automatically.
Example 3: Extract Building Data
You ask: "Create an ITO summarizing the total area of walls by floor"
A new Information Take-Off is created, walls are grouped by floor, and total area per floor is calculated.

-
Break it down: Complex tasks work better when separated into logical steps
-
Review results: Always verify that the chatbot's actions match your intention
-
Ask to continue: If the chatbot doesn't complete all steps, simply ask: "Please continue" or "Next step"
