The component type selection dialog is used when you select components for filtering. It's different in older and newer versions of Solibri, and this article describes both versions.
In Solibri v9.13.3 and older, the components typically associated with a discipline are listed under it:
In Solibri v9.13.4 and newer, you have multiple options for selecting the Component Type. The dialog has four categories from which you can select the component.
Tip
To find components quickly, type the starting letter of the component.
Tip
To view only the components that are part of the currently open model, mark the checkbox for Show Only Model Components. If unchecked, all component classes/containers/IFC Entities are shown.
The options for selecting components are:
-
Components: The All Components tab shows a selection of Solibri components classes that are part of containers. On the By Discipline tab, only the components that are available in the respective discipline are shown:
-
Containers: The Containers option shows the Solibri containers. A container refers to a logical grouping or aggregation of related building information. It allows you to organize and manage various elements and properties of a building model. Note that selecting containers is not possible in the Filtering view.
-
IFC Entities: If you prefer to work with IFC component classes instead of Solibri component classes, you can use the IFC Entities option. The IfcEntities in the IFC 2x3 and IFC 4 standards are listed. On the By IFC Version tab, the IfcEntites are sorted by the IFC schema (IFC 2x3 or IFC 4).
-
IFC Types: If you prefer to work with IFC types directly, you can use this option. On the By IFC Version tab, the IfcEntites are sorted by the IFC schema (IFC 2x3 or IFC 4).
-
Recent: Select from components you've recently used.
