This article describes how to use the Favorites tab in Solibri's Info view. In v9.13.8 and newer, the Info view has a new tab called Favorites. On the Favorites tab, users can customize their selection of properties and save them as a .favorite file for use in other projects. Properties can be added to Favorites from another Info view tab or directly on the Favorites tab. Users can also rename, reorganize, and remove properties, and categorize them according to preference.

The Favorites tab enables you to have quick access to the information you need in your current project, and to organize the information in a way that serves you best. The Favorites tab is highlighted with purple:
The Favorites tab has a toolbar that displays the name “My Favorites” by default, but when a previously saved .favorite file is opened, the file name will replace the default text.
On the Favorites tab, you can select a custom selection of properties and organize it according to your preference. The selection of properties can be saved as a file so that it can be imported and used in other projects.

It’s possible to have several selections open simultaneously as sub-tabs on the Favorites tab.
You can add properties to Favorites in two ways:

From another Info view tab: Right-click a property or value in one of the Info view tabs (except for Relations or Classifications) and select Add to Favorites from the context menu:

On the Favorites tab: Click
, select the property type and property, and click OK:
Tip
If you have multiple Favorites selections open, you need to also select the target selection where the property is added.
To rename the Favorites selection, click , give the new name and click OK. Remember to save your changes!
You can reorganize the properties in the selection by moving them up and down on the list with the arrow buttons:
To remove a property from the selection, click .
It’s possible to save the selected and organized Favorites properties as files that can be imported to other projects. The files are XML files and have the file extension .favorite.
To save the current Favorites selection, click . Give the selection a name and click Save. The name on the Favorites sub-tab changes respectively.
To save changes you’ve made to a previously saved selection, click .
To create a new selection, click . Give your selection a name and click OK. The selection is opened on another sub-tab.
On the Favorites tab, you can categorize the properties according to your preference. A property can be added to one or more categories. When you’re doing this for the first time, you need to also add your first category. After that, you can pick the categories from the context menu directly.
To create a new category and add the property under it:

Right-click the property on the Favorites tab and select Categories > Choose from the context menu:

Click New Category

Name the category and click OK. The category is added on the list. You can add multiple categories in the same way.

Check the category/categories you wish to apply to the properties and click OK:
Tip
For a category to get created, it also needs to be selected (checked) so that the property is added under it.
