What Is Solibri Solution Center?

This article describes what Solibri Solution Center (SSC) is and what features it has.

In Solibri Solution Center (SSC), the account administrators can manage users, licenses and user pools online. Solibri Solution Center has two views, the Admin view and the Products view. The Admin view is for account administration, and products and extensions can be purchased in the Products view.

How to Access Solution Center

To access Solibri Solution Center:

  1. Go to https://solution.solibri.com .

  2. Enter your email address and password and click Sign in:

Tip

If you wish to save your credentials, mark the Remember me checkbox.

Tip

If you forget your password, click Forgot password? and follow the instructions to change your password.

Products View

The Products view is the landing page of Solibri Solution center. It shows the products that are available for downloading.

Note

You can change the products that are shown by selecting a different operating system or product from the drop-down menus. Note also that there can be products on several pages.

Admin View

Only the admins have access to the Admin view of SSC. To go to the Admin view, click Go to Admin View:

Tip

User info and language settings: From a drop-down menu on the top-right corner, you can edit user info and select the language of the user interface.

Solibri License Types in Solution Center

Floating license

  • A floating license can be borrowed by multiple users, but it can only be used by one user at a time. This means that you can add more users to a floating license pool than you have licenses.

  • When a user starts Solibri Office or Site, a license is checked out from SSC. When the user closes the software, the license is checked in to SSC for others to use.

  • If all floating licenses are in use, the user can only use Solibri Anywhere.

  • To get a floating license, an internet connection is required. If a user needs to work offline, they can borrow a license up to 14 days.

Offline license

  • Each offline license is machine-specific and restricted to one user account (which cannot be used elsewhere). User information can be added manually after starting Solibri.

  • Each computer using an offline license needs its own fingerprint file.

  • An offline license expires in a year, starting from when the license has been generated. After a year, the license is automatically cleared and can no longer be used.

  • When the license has 14 days left, you will receive a message every time you open Solibri, informing you that the license is about to expire.

  • You cannot run both offline an online versions of Solibri on the same computer, as the offline version is always used if it has been installed.

Temporary license

  • Solibri support can create temporary licenses if needed, for example for training.

  • An end date is set for these licenses.

  • If you need temporary licenses, please contact Solibri sales.

User pool

  • User pools are for managing licenses and users.

  • By default, every account has at least one user pool with one or more licenses. The first user pool is created by Solibri.

  • The admin can create multiple user pools and divide the Solibri licenses between them.

  • Each Office or Site user needs to belong to a specific user pool. Each user can belong to two user pool (one Office and one Site pool) at a time. A user can be moved from one user pool to another, if needed. Users without a set pool only have access to using Solibri Anywhere.

  • In a floating user pool, there may be more users than there are existing licenses.

User Roles in Solution Center

User

  • Can access the Products view of SSC to download products and extensions which the administrator or buyer has assigned.

  • Can wish for products and extensions.

Buyer

  • Can purchase products and extensions from SSC.

  • Can download products and extensions which the administrator has assigned.

  • Can assign purchased products and extensions to users who have wished for them. If there are no wishes, only the administrator can assign the products to the users.

  • Can access the Products view of SSC to download products and extensions.

Administrator (admin)

  • Can access the Admin view of SSC. Manages the company’s SSC account.

  • Manages licenses and license pools.

  • Can add, edit and deactivate users.

  • Can purchase products and extensions.

  • Can assign the products and extensions which users can then download and use.

  • Can download products and extensions (within Solibri Office).
